PUTRAJAYA, July 8 — A 42-year-old man failed in his final appeal today to overturn his conviction and sentence of 35 years' imprisonment and 12 strokes of the cane for the 2012 murder of an Indonesian domestic cleaner, whom he had accused of speaking ill of him.

PUTRAJAYA, June 24 — The Court of Appeal today commuted the death sentence imposed on a 41-year-old man to 35 years in jail for murdering an Indonesian house cleaner in 2017 after she allegedly badmouthed him.
